Small biographie
Pedro Castillo Lara is member of the national system of art creators FONCA / CONACULTA, he was born in Mexico City in 1974 and graduated in composition, orchestral conduction and musicology from the Instituto Cardenal Miranda, headquarters of the Pontifical School of Sacred Music of Rome in Mexico. Subsequently, he traveled to France where he completed a master’s degree in composition at the Paris VIII University and the Paris School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences. At the same time, he carry out specialization studies at the Cevran, Miromesnil and Nanterre conservatories in France. His music includes different instrumental ensembles and electronic media and has been performed in different countries in Europe and America.
As conductor Castillo Lara has conducted and been invited by different renowned ensembles and orchestras such as The Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra, Ensamble Liminar, Densités 93, and has been director and creator of the Voces latinas de Paris choir, Ensemble Noise Muslab Ensamble and the Orchestra of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Xocimilco, having conducted on both sides of the Atlantic and encompassing a wide repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to contemporary music.

The International Exhibition of Electroacoustic Music MUSLAB (muslab.org)
MUSLAB is carried out in collaboration with 32 different cultural institutions and is formed in its different locations by renowned composers and professionals, who participate giving impetus to this project with their work and talent.
The objective of MUSLAB is to gather and disseminate the creation and sound exploration of artists from different countries of the world and to promote the creative and communication process to bring new audiences closer to contemporary sound creations, giving artists access to new representation forums and create an international communication network through the development of different cultural activities, training courses, workshops in new technologies and sound art concerts, aimed at reinforcing the capacities of local artists to integrate into the job market.>
On the other hand, MUSLAB offers courses and training to access technological production tools.
